Neak Oknha Kuon Thida successfully led and organized the China-Cambodia Investment Cooperation Conference
On September 9, 2025, Neak
Oknha Kuon Thida, Chairman of STSK and Board member of the Cambodian Oknha
Association and Head of the Subcommittee on Relations and Business, led the
organization of the “Conference on China-Cambodia Investment Cooperation” in
cooperation with the Chinese Mine Investors Association in Cambodia with great
success.
The conference was held under the
presidency of H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister, First Vice Chairman of
the Council for the Development of Cambodia, and H.E. Wiao Kui, Deputy Governor
of Fujian Province, People’s Republic of China, as well as delegates from the
Cambodian Oknha Association, and was attended by many Chinese businessmen from
various sectors.
The main purpose of the conference is to promote the business and attract investment between the two countries, and to further strengthen China-Cambodia relations and trade activities.
In a warm welcome
In a warm welcome, H.E. Wiao Kui encouraged businessmen and investors from both countries to seize this opportunity to match their businesses for future business cooperation.
On this occasion, H.E. Sun Chanthol highlighted the key factors that attract investors to Cambodia, including peace and political stability, economic stability, comprehensive investment laws, government support, a developing infrastructure network, a young and capable workforce, and an advantageous geographical location in the middle of the Mekong and ASEAN regions.
In closing, Neak Oknha Kuon Thida outlined the background, mission, and important roles of the Cambodian Oknha Association, stating that the Association is an important platform that brings together many investors and businessmen to participate in the development of trade and investment in Cambodia.
The smooth and successful conduct
of the conference demonstrated that it was an important step in creating new
collaborations and promoting investment opportunities between the two countries
to grow.
