On December 4, 2025, Oknha Kuon Thida, representing Lok Neak Oknha Ly Yong Phat, led a roundtable discussion on “Investment in Agriculture, Livestock Tracking Systems and the Wood Processing Industry” with the Secretary General and members of the Oknha Association of Cambodia, H.E. Christian DesRoches, Ambassador of Canada, and representatives of relevant institutions, investment companies, and experts from Cambodia and Canada.

The roundtable discussion was organized to discuss and exchange views on doing business using technology in the livestock and wood processing industries, to promote transparency in the livestock and wood processing value chains, market penetration, and build resilience in these sectors by building capacity and providing modern technological solutions, contributing to the promotion of the agricultural sector in Cambodia.

In his welcoming speech, Neak Oknha Kuon Thida welcomed the entire meeting and discussed the general outlook of the agriculture sector, which is a core sector that contributes to national economic growth. Animal husbandry and the wood processing industry are also developing, but at a low level. They need cooperation, support, and modern technology to promote these sectors better. For example, today’s discussion will include a presentation on the use of modern technology systems presented by expert speakers from Canada.

At the end, Neak Oknha Kuon Thida presented a memento to His Excellency Christian DesRoches and his colleagues to show their friendship and mutual support.

The discussion was organised by the Cambodian Oknha Association and CANCAP GLOBAL with the support of the Embassy of Canada and Référence Systèmes (Québec, Canada).
